Financial Accountant
Banque Invik SA is a Luxembourg-based bank which issues Credit cards and pre-paid cards to partners across the world. Banque Invik is also active in Private Banking, Asset Management, as well as Treasury Outsourcing and Corporate Finance for corporate clients.
We are currently looking to recruit a
Financial Accountant (m/f)
This role is an excellent opportunity to join a small and dynamic structure with real learning and development possibilities. We have recently implemented a new card management platform and will now look for opportunities to re-structure the accounting and financial control of the business.
Your mission:
Initiate and take forward the structuring of the accounting process in the Credit Card Team in all areas of credit card reconciliation, which includes how transactions are accounted for in the card management platform, how daily reconciliation of credit card transactions and payments are performed
Report to the CFO and Director of the Cards Division
Work as part of the business to improve and implement controls in accordance with internal audit recommendations
Manage 4 – 5 people
Project lead from a Finance perspective the implementation of a GL interface with the Card Operating System
Responsible for managing and collecting monthly management information and report to Finance
Responsible for interrogating the source data to ensure, integrity, accuracy and reliability of information reported
Work closely with IT to implement new reporting requirements and enhance system functionality
Reconcile the Cards position account each month
Responsible for managing the funding and foreign exchange requirements of this division
Manage the income and cost allocations per department
Responsible for assessing the levels of fraud and bad debt and implementing a robust process of management and reporting
Deal with both internal and external audit
Ad hoc projects and being involved in working groups affecting the Bank
Your profile:
- 5 years experience in accounting, controlling and/or audit
- Strong knowledge and experience in GL accounting
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
- Be proactive and decisive
- Strong analytical skills
- Be able to analyze issues and solve problems
- Fluency in English with knowledge of French an advantage
